Solution

To address this issue, I developed the Expense Tracker app, designed to simplify how users manage their finances. The app replaces cryptic transaction IDs with clear, recognizable icons, such as a Netflix logo for subscriptions, making it easier to identify expenses at a glance. Additionally, it provides intuitive visualizations, like charts and graphs, to help users track and analyze their spending habits. By offering a cleaner, more user-friendly interface, the app allows for a more straightforward and meaningful understanding of personal finances.

Problematic

While using my bank’s app, I quickly realized that it was often difficult to recall certain transactions because they were represented by obscure IDs. This made it harder for me, as a student, to fully grasp my spending habits and manage my expenses effectively.
